2012

Ekkk! It's been months with out a post. Needless to say we have been busy around our house. I feel like a am juggling a million things. Taking care of the kids, Lawrence, the house, spending all Lawrence's money ;) oh and not to mention starting my own business! The blog has been put on the back burner as you can tell. I'm going to make sure to blog more often. So are you ready for a catch up for the past two months?!? ok here we go

Photobucket

Ethan "talks" on the phone to Lawrence all the time. Lawrence will call when he is at work and E just loves to hear his voice. The best part is Ethan thinks the only person who calls the house is "Dadda" so Lawrence could be sitting right next to him and hand him the phone and he will say "Hi Dadda"

Photobucket

I gave in and tried this stuff and I now have started running. Its heavenly, Jules sees me eating it and says "Mommy your eating chocolate again?" I quickly respond with "It's NOT chocolate... it's hazelnut spread!"

Photobucket

For 23 hours and 50 minutes of every single day my formal living room looks like this. Oh well!

Photobucket

She is actually better at this game then I am!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Ethan makes funny faces ALL the time. Takes his socks off whenever he can. He helps walk the dog and causes me to have gray hair. The FedEx guy got a kick out of my sign.

Photobucket

Julia told Lawrence the other night that she works harder in kindergarten then he does at work! The conversation went something like this:
L "So what do you do in kindergarten that is so hard?"
J "We do morning work, then play on the play ground, have lunch, go to centers. After that we have our work for the day and we have to color, cut, and paste. It's really hard Daddy!"
L "WOW Julia WOW"

That's all for now folks :)

Tooth Fairy

Julia had a big day yesterday. She has had her adult teeth growing in behind her baby teeth for a couple of months now. Her dentist had warned me about "Shark teeth" at her last check up. Normally the baby teeth quickly fall out once the big teeth start moving their way up.

Photobucket

I told Jules her dentist was just going to look at her teeth and tell us what we should do and then she would be able to go to school. Once he looked in her mouth he suggested pulling all four bottom teeth. Long story short if we went ahead and pulled the four now it will be better in the long run for braces. As Julia was playing a Nintendo DS game I talked in code with the Dentist about pulling all four teeth.

Photobucket

Julia is terrified of needles and shots, girlfriend gets STRESSED out very easily. I figured it would be best just to do it now and get it over with. The doc gave her the numbing shot without her even knowing. We waited about ten minutes while it kicked in. During the ten minutes he asked Julia "what are you going to do with the money the tooth fairy brings you?" she said "Oh my Daddy tells me I have to save it so I can go to college" at that point the doctor could not stop laughing. He told her "Daddy should be saving his tooth fairy money for that"

Photobucket

The actual pulling of the teeth was horrible. Jules was stressed I could see it in her eyes, she asked him a couple of times "am I done yet?" and when he would say "no only a little bit longer" she bit him! She actually bit him twice. I can't imagine that was the first time a child has bit him it's what you expect when you are a pediatric dentist. Don't forget about the little terror Ethan! I had no idea we were going to be there a while so I did not pack snacks for Ethan. He was screaming and squirming the whole time.

Photobucket

Julia never cried until I told her she could not go to school. I felt so bad for what she had to go through that she pretty much got to do whatever she wanted for the day! That included getting a large slush from Sonic, she and I made a Tooth Fairy door, she watched the Smurfs twice, and we went to Chilly Spoons (ok Chilly Spoons was totally what I wanted but Julia loved it too). When Julia woke up this morning she found "Fairy"dust everywhere, a note from the tooth fairy, and money. She is super excited.

A little update on Ethan... My baby boy is now in the stage of throwing things and climbing! Please do one of two things 1.) say a prayer for me and my sanity or 2.) bring me a glass of wine

Tiffany is doing great but she is really slacking on the laundry... I caught her using socks as a blanket!

I folded laundry the other day and I had "help"

I walked into the office Monday to find this

Kindergarten

"Daddy, if you were in kindergarten with me I would play with you EVERY day. We would play at recess and centers together"-Julia

I love her and how much she truly love her daddy :)

We are here...

I have been slacking on posting updates and pictures. I am actually started typing this post on my cell phone waiting for Julia's bus to show up. Ethan and I were jamming out to Raffy.

Photobucket

Julia is LOVING school. I can only hope she loves it this much in 10 years. Today I dropped her off at school because I had to go to Lawrence's work and pick up his computer, he is home sick for the day. As we passed the bus stop she said "MOM we missed the bus" I told her again that I was taking her to school and I was dropping her off in car loop. She then told me "Mom if you would watch the clock we would not have missed the bus." When I got to her school she then tried to get me to drop her off at the other end of the school. Her words were "Mom I'm in kindergarten I KNOW how to get to class, you can just pull over and let me out." She is so independent it scares me.
Photobucket

Ethan is giving me a run for my money. This child climbs, gets into things and throws a fit like no one else... I've had to get creative on ways to keep him out of things. There was a day last week when I was at my breaking point. E figured out how to grab the pillow off the couch and use it as a stepping stool. Once he did that he could throw is leg up and then pull the rest of his body onto the couch. He then would run back and forth on the couch falling off multiple times. I have a fear he is going to fall off and break a bone or a tooth.

I called Lawrence on this day crying asking him for an idea to keep Ethan off the couches. His response was "let him fall off he will learn" typical male response. I let him know the next time I called him he would need to meet me at the ER because I just knew that was wear this day was taking us. Lucky for me we did not have to make a trip to the ER.

Photobucket

Ethan is going to be a great swimmer, he has a set of lungs on him. I hear the high pitched LONG screams just about every hour. I had to go to Publix the other morning. Ethan did not want to go and screamed so lound it was as if I was pinching him (trust me I wanted to pinch him for embarrassing me so much) it was so loud that the bakery lady came hunting me down in the store to give Ethan a cookie.

I decorated our house for Halloween today. The reason mainly being that this is the time of year I don't have to dust and I encourage the spiders to spin webs in my family room;) Real spider webs actually really freak me out*. The web is on you but you can't see it and God knows where the spider is during your flaring about ripping apart its home and don't even get me started on dragonflies that's one animal that send me running away like a crazy person. I'll would rather encounter an alligator then a dragonfly!

Photobucket

All of these pictures are taken with my cell phone. Ethan has a goal in life to touch my camera lens and I'm not a fan of sticky little fingers touching my nice camera. The pictures pretty much explain whats going on so my pictures and words don't really match up this time

Cute story about Ethan yesterday, he was mad at me for shutting the office door (apparently he need to send some emails to people) so I put him down in the hallway to let him scream nonstop for a couple of minutes while I carried on with my day. He got so lound and so high pitched that he set the alarm off for glass breaking. The alarm was a beep to let me know glass just shattered but Ethan though that the beep was Lawrence opening the garage up to pull his car in. Ethan turned off the waterworks ran to the window and said "Dadda, DADDA,DA DAAA" He was not happy when Lawrence did not walk in a couple minutes later. It was nothing a little yo gabba gabba could not fix.

Photobucket

It has taken me two days to write this! I really need to stop doing laundry and start posting more blog entries. Lawrence will love this idea

Photobucket

*Dear Lawrence- There is a HUGE spider in the garage right above the laundry room. Look up and you can see her.I have named her "Gaga" I made a deal with here that if she does not fall on my head I will not kill her but you did not make that same deal... Please kill it.

Oh Dam!

The best part of Julia's first week of school had to be when she was chosen from her class to read a book to the principle next month. She was very excited to be able to bring a book home and she was over the moon about being able to attend a tea party with the principal after they read the books.

Photobucket

I get home and flip though the book and I see an immediate obstacle that Julia is going to have. It's not a long word nor does it have silent letters.

Photobucket
Photobucket

I see this and think to myself "Oh damn how am I going to get Jules to say dam!" :) I asked her if she thought dam was a bad word. Her response was clear, she had heard it come out of my mouth a time or two and knew it was not something she was allowed to say. I was surprised she did not say "LANGUAGE!!" which is what Lawrence says when I say a bad word.

Photobucket

I ended up passing the responsibility to Lawrence. He talked to Jules about words that sound the same but mean different things. For the most part she now understands. The book is below her reading level (my juju is an AMAZING reader) so she reads the book with ease. When the time comes to read "we make a dam" she gives a little giggle and her eyes get wide.

Photobucket

Let the Dam jokes begin!

Favorite videos

YouTube has great videos but if there is one video online that sums up our family it's this video. Seriously the dad reminds me of Lawrence so much :)

This is an amazing video too! So funny :)

This happens to be Julia's favorite video. Every time she watches it she cries because she laughs so hard.

Art work

Lawrence and I knew exactly what we were looking for when we bought our home. We both agreed on the layout that we liked and the rooms we wanted to have in our home. When we found the house we live in now he and I both knew it was perfect and had everything we wanted and more!

The once "Formal Living" room has turned into a "Formal Playroom". I think it drives Lawrence nuts because I'll hear him complain about how we have a living room full of toys. Since he is not home with the kids and has NO idea how much easier it is to clean one room of toys compared to three or four rooms of toys the playroom is here to stay :)

Photobucket

I thought I would make Lawrence happier if I added some art work to the living room. If you us at all you know we are way to cheep to buy art work. So I had some assistance from my little Juju and she painted this for me....

Photobucket
Photobucket

It was super easy to make. All I had to do was put stickers on the canvas and then let Julia go to town painting. Let the paint dry and then pull off the stickers and wallah you have a cute piece of art work to hang.

If you give a Juju a camera....

Photobucket

She will take a ton of pictures! On our summer list of things to do we put go on a nature walk. Last night I gave Julia my old camera and told her that she can take as many pictures as she wanted. The only rule I told her was she was not allowed to take pictures of peoples houses.

Photobucket
Photobucket

She got a kids digital camera for Ethan's birthday. How she ended up with presents on Ethan's first birthday is beyond me. The camera was a huge hit with Jules, one of the first things she wanted to do with her camera was take underwater pictures with it in the pool. After a couple of hours of a rice bath + Lawrence taking it apart the camera was working again.

Photobucket
Photobucket

She did really good with my old camera. Never once taking the strap off her next and never touching the lens. I was one proud Momma :)

Photobucket

I took pictures of Julia taking pictures. I have to admit the pictures I took are my new favorite. She had so much fun using my old camera that has been in her face for years now. This time she was in charge, she could zoom in as much as she wanted. Let me tell you Juju likes a zoomed in picture!

Photobucket

She was taking pictures of things she likes squirrels, trees, me, flowers, and sprinkler heads. Lawrence make everyone in the family help replace, look at, and fix the sprinkler heads in our yard. So Julia knows a thing or two about which ones need replaced. When she spotted this one she told me "oh Mommy they need to go to Home Depot"

I made Julia her own water mark for her pictures. It says "JuJuBe Photography" in hot pink of course because that is her favorite color. So all the pictures with that marking are hers. We will be going on more nature walks soon!

She meets her kindergarten teacher in the morning. I still can not believe our Jules is starting school. Monday is her first day, please prepare for lots of pictures.
